It took only a few minutes after first meeting Karen that we knew that she would be the perfect person to help us with our major home remodeling project. We had learned about her and her Blue Aster company through the Next Door app.
Ms Noftsger listened to our ideas and helped us mold these into a concrete reality. She provided access to a highly –skilled construction team and guided us to painters, flooring specialists, cabinet designers, etc. She communicated on a daily basis as the project unfolded. Karen made sure that things were ordered with adequate lead time, double-checked the work done, made further suggestions to improve the project and acted as a “go-between” when small issues developed. She smoothed out the “bumps in the road” that occur in any building project. Most importantly, she never pushed her own specific agenda on us. Her fee schedule is most reasonable. We knew we wanted to make changes in our home but very unsure of what it should look like or where to start. Karen made us comfortable from our first meeting up until the project was completed. She listened to our needs and ideas but also took us out of our box to create a beautiful space. Where do I begin? First, Karen helped me re-think my deck space and layout and then found the perfect pieces to make it come to life! The functionality, coupled with the homey feeling Karen brings into every space, makes it a space that our family wants to use every day we can! It is truly an extension of our indoor space...and we couldn't love it more.  Then we moved indoors to our office space, which had been neglected and a dumping ground since we had moved into our home. It was a room I kept trying to "figure out", but I just did not have a clear vision of what I wanted. Karen to the rescue! She asked all of the right questions to understand exactly what we needed in an office space and then designed the perfect space for us! This includes a custom built-in desk with all the storage we needed, but didn't have; custom floating shelves for the photos and treasures we have collected that fill us with joy; a much needed lighting upgrade, including installing canned lights, a new light fixture and undercabinet lighting in the shelves; changes to paint colors which even included painting a built-in that was already in the room, but that completely changed the look! She found clever ways to give us everything we wanted and MORE!  The sub-contractors that Karen works with are top of the line in terms of quality....both in their craftsmanship and end products, as well as their character. It was an absolute pleasure working with all of them and I will certainly use them again if I have an opportunity! So, if you are looking for someone who is incredibly talented at helping you spruce up a space or completely re-imagine, re-design or remodel it, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you consider Blue Aster! Karen with Blue Aster is outstanding! I worked with her on a small bathroom, entryway project. Karen listened to my thoughts along with looking at the style of my entire house and presented a look that was perfect to the house.   Karen managed the sub-contractors to make sure the tight schedule for completion was done. All the contractors were on time, respectful and did quality work.  Karen presented affordable options for everything, from the flooring to the shelves to re-purposing some things I already had. This was such a relief when you are working within a budget.  This was a relatively small project however Karen treated me and the project like it was a million-dollar job. I could not be happier with the way the bathroom and entryway turned out! It is classy with a twist of fun and glamor.
